ORIGINALS
Originals are one of a kind completely hand painted by the artist. Some originals are chosen to be reproduced as limited or open editions. They may also be used on other products such as puzzles or note cards. Purchasing an original does not give the owner rights to restrict what item can be produced with that original image.
LIMITED EDITIONS
Limited editions are a reproduction of an original and have a fixed quantity with a limit of the total number that will ever be produced. There may be more than one edition but the total number of limited reproductions will be shown on the certificate of authenticity. Usually a number will appear on a limited edition denoting which specific number in the edition it represents.
OPEN EDITIONS
Open editions are a reproduction of an original with no fixed quantity or limit on the total number that will be produced. An original might be reproduced in both limited and open editions.Â
